I’ve been getting asked about this a lot lately. I like to keep my routine super simple; otherwise I end up going to bed with my makeup on too often (don’t judge, you’ve done it too.) So anyway, I wanted to update you guys on what I’ve been using.
I’ll be 33 in August, I’m not saying I look like a teenager, but I get the “wow, you don’t look that old” comment all the time. BTW, I feel like that is such a backhanded compliment, can we stop saying that?? On the flip side, I’ll also be the first person to point out every single flaw instead of accepting any kind of compliment; but that’s a whole other issue!
First, I use coconut oil to wash my face. Every. Single. Night. I’ve been doing this for about 8 years. It takes off all of my makeup, it’s quick, easy and so cheap. Now you might be thinking “but I have oily/ combo skin,” well I have the most oily skin EVER and this still works great for me. It doesn’t make me break out, it doesn’t make my face more oily and it makes my face so soft. I’ve actually had less breakouts since I’ve been using this.

Next. Some days I’ll use the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum first and other nights I go straight for the moisturizer. Just depends how lazy I feel.
Moisturizer. I’ve been using the ROC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night cream for about 6 months and I’m OBSESSED. I have noticed major results on the fine lines on my forehead and my smile lines. A little goes a long way, so the little bottle actually lasts a long time. (Also, whatever is leftover on my hands, I rub on the tops of my hands, makes them so smooth!)
I also use an eye sleep mask. I’ve been really loving the Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping mask. *I’m kind of obsessed with retinol right now. It’s so creamy and makes my eyes feel soothed and so soft. This stuff is bomb. It also comes with a little spatula to get the cream out of the jar.

Last but not least, I use the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask every night. I also use this while I put on makeup so the foundation doesn’t get on my lips. It is hands down the best lip balm ever.

I try to use reasonably priced products and if they happen to be a little pricey, I make sure that it’s a product that will last me more than a month. Some things are worth the splurge though!
P.S. You’re never too young to start taking care of your skin!
