Hermann Wine Trail

We are heading back to Hermann, MO in May and could not be more excited. This will be our third trip to the adorable little town and we are hoping to make this a yearly thing.

The first time we went was almost 3 years ago, it was during Oktoberfest, with a group of 12 people. It was a blast! You pay $20 a person for a trolley to take you to all of the wineries there, I believe there are 7, but we’ve never made it to all of them. You don’t have to worry about driving and the trolley will pick you up from your hotel and drop you off when you’re done. Also, you can drink on the trolley and once the wineries close, they will take you to bars or restaurants around town.

The second time we went, it was just Stephen and I, it was this past February and our very first trip away from our little man. While it was very emotional leaving him for an entire weekend, it ended up being so much fun. We drank, had long talks and just really enjoyed our alone time. We felt like a normal married couple again.

Our May trip will be with Stephen (of course) my sister-in-law, her husband, one of Stephen’s best friends and his wife. This will be such and fun group, we are so ready! I will write another post all about it, including where we are staying and my fashion choices, stay tuned!

If you enjoy that, then you will LOVE the Hermann Wine & Jazz Festival on Sat / September 7, 2019! The Hermann Wine Trail wineries participate and St. Louis jazz bands perform starting at 2 pm. This year it’s an entire weekend: Fri, Sept. 6 @ 1837 Wine Bar and Sun, Sept 7 @ Gasconade Courthouse (~1-4 pm) with food and beverage. Plenty of AWE-some lodging, but book early as they fill up fast. Just take Amtrak’s Missouri River Runner from St. Louis or Kansas City (4 blocks from amphitheater). http://www.hermannjazz.com.
